Step 1
There will be a verbal consultation with the dentist. Then information for your implant record will need to be documented (includes Ct scan , impressions etc.) The patient will need to come back for a discussion with the doctor to go over these results in detail.
Step 2
The implant will then be installed. At this time, a temporary tooth is provided that allows you to eat and function normally almost immediately. The implant will need a few months to integrate with the jawbone before the next step is taken.
Step 3
The final step is the placement of the permanent ceramic tooth. The bite is verified to make sure ideal function is achieved. Final photographs & radiographs are taken for records and patient leaves home with their new tooth. A 2-week post-operative visit is sometimes scheduled.
Step 4
The last step is maintenance of the dental implant for long term stability. You should expect the new tooth to fit and function just like a natural tooth. To reduce risk of implant failure, normal dental hygiene must be maintained to keep the tooth and gum around it healthy.
